Poverty, lack of sanitation and overcrowded living spaces combine to make health an important area of concern for Mumbai. The Trust’s work in this area have included community health initiatives, a mobile hospital for street children.
TB Control Programme: Urban and Rural Around 100-150 persons in villages in Thane district are being treated for TB cases of default are traced and followed up and patient’s health monitored regularly. Under the Urban programme, two TB detection camps for children of TB patients were conducted, followed by free treatment for those requiring it.
